Scatter Plot Maker FAQ

What CSV format does it expect?
Two numeric columns (x, y) at minimum. A third group column (text) is optional and splits points into separate series.
How is the trend line calculated?
It uses ordinary least squares (OLS) linear regression across all points, regardless of group. The chart also shows slope, intercept, and R² beneath the controls.
Will my data be uploaded?
No. CSV parsing, regression computation, and chart rendering all run locally in your browser.
Can I plot multiple groups in different colors?
Yes. Add a third column with group labels (e.g. Male/Female, Control/Treatment), and each value gets its own color and legend entry.
What export formats are supported?
PNG and SVG download, plus copy-to-clipboard for direct paste into slides and docs.
